The green construction fence came down and for a short while the future Hermès store could be seen in (almost) all its naked glory on the corner of North 6th and Berry Street in Williamsburg. More recently green netting has gone up on top of molded plastic barriers.
The exterior is looking close to done, while work inside continues. The rear of the building at 111 North 6th Street is newly clad in bronze bricks and matching bronze-finished columns. The singular design contrasts with the rest of the building, whose faux new-old look generated chatter on social media when it emerged from scaffolding in the fall.

Big windows show an unfinished ceiling, concrete floors, and the white metal railing of the staircase. While more elaborate build-out and finishes are not yet in place, and the project has neither a temporary nor permanent certificate of occupancy, it appears ahead of schedule for its planned 2026 opening.
In October, new owner Empire State Realty Trust bought the property from seller L3 Capital in October for $35 million, public records show. Further down the block, Abercrombie & Fitch is prepping to open at 95 North 6th Street.
