Breeze Airways continues to experience remarkable growth, marking a major milestone with its first profitable quarter in Q4 2024. The airline generated over $200 million in revenue, and its operating margin exceeded 4%. In just a few years, Breeze has expanded rapidly, with 29 new destinations and a 52% increase in available seat miles in 2024. The airline’s hybrid “Nice Low-Cost Carrier” model is gaining popularity, offering affordable flights with a high-quality experience.
David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, expressed pride in the airline’s growth, stating, “This milestone is a major accomplishment for Breeze and a strong testament to the hard work, dedication, and determination of our more than 2,000 incredible Team Members. In under four years, we have managed to grow and expand Breeze at an unprecedented rate while establishing a robust presence in dozens of underserved markets across the U.S. Most importantly, we’ve done so safely, providing millions of people access to efficient, affordable, and elevated air travel. It’s clear our hybrid model – one we refer to as ‘Nice Low-Cost Carrier, or NLCC’ – is not just working, but thriving.”
By December 2024, Breeze was the only airline operating 87% of its 220 nonstop routes, and there are hundreds more routes across the U.S. that could take advantage of the airline’s distinctive service. Thanks to its low-cost model, Breeze offers base fares that are, on average, 44% cheaper than those of other airlines flying the same routes, making travel more affordable for millions of people across the country.
Traveling from smaller, more accessible airports allows passengers in Breeze cities to reach popular year-round and seasonal locations, frequently at half the price and in half the time. Moreover, Breeze offers a variety of fare options, both a la carte and bundled, along with customer-friendly policies like no fees for changes or cancellations and complimentary family seating.
These features have helped the young airline build a loyal following, contributing to Breeze’s rapid expansion. By the end of 2024, Breeze had become the top airline in terms of destinations served in 24 out of its 66 cities.
“While I am extremely proud of our many accomplishments in 2024, I’m most proud of the Seriously Nice™ brand we are building and the impact Breeze is having on the communities we serve,” added David Neeleman.
With Breeze offering one of the most affordable and flexible options in the sky, passengers can enjoy a cost-effective yet comfortable travel experience, all while supporting the growth of underserved cities across the U.S.
