A California federal judge has denied music platform Musi’s motion to force Apple to reinstate its app on the Apple app store, which it removed in September 2024 over copyright infringement concerns advanced by several tech, streaming and recording artist giants.
An expert in entertainment and copyright law says that the judge’s conclusion will likely clear the path for Big Tech companies with app stores, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, to exert more control over the removal of third-party apps.
