About the Organizer
The Moot Court Society (MCS) of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Hyderabad is dedicated to fostering legal excellence and advocacy skills. It focuses on developing the skillset of students such as argumentation, research skills, courtroom ethics and so on.
The Moot Court Society provides a platform to the members and participants to engage in courtroom proceedings helping in developing their confidence and professional ethics. The society also organizes a ton of events for the members and students to participate in and help in their confidence building and public speaking skills through teamwork and leadership.

About the 3rd Moot Court Competition
The 3rd NMIMS Hyderabad Moot Court Competition, 2025 (NMCC’25) is a prestigious event organized by the Moot Court Society of NMIMS Hyderabad. This competition is a platform for law students from across the country to exhibit their advocacy skills and legal knowledge.
The objective of this Moot Court Competition is to foster research and critical thinking on emerging issues in Civil Law. It governs agreements between parties, ensuring that mutual obligations are legally enforceable.
It is structured in two main stages. The first stage is the Memorial Elimination Round, where all registered teams must submit their memorials. Based on their evaluation, the top 24 teams will progress to Stage II, which comprises Oral Rounds.
Mode of Competition
The Competition adopts a Hybrid format. The preliminary and quarterfinal rounds will be conducted online, enabling teams to participate remotely. The semi-final and final rounds, however, will take place in person at the NMIMS Hyderabad campus. This approach allows for broader participation while retaining the essence of traditional mooting for the advanced stages.
Theme
The Theme of the Moot Court Competition is Contract Law.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to students currently pursuing an LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-year courses) or an LL.M. postgraduate degree.
- Teams must consist of members from the same institution.
- Each institution may be represented by a maximum of Two Teams.
Registration
- All the teams must complete the provisional registration upon which they will receive a confirmation and link for completion of final registration.
- All teams completing Final Registration for the competition must pay a registration fee of INR 5000/-
- Registrations close on 10th of February, 2025
Awards
- WINNERS: The winning team will receive a Trophy and a cash Prize of INR 40,000/-
- RUNNERS-UP: The runners-up team will receive a Trophy and a cash Prize of INR 25,000/-
- BEST SPEAKER: The Best Speaker in Preliminary Rounds will receive a cash prize of INR10,000/-
- BEST MEMORIAL: The Team with the Highest Cumulative Memorial Marks will receive a cash Prize of INR 5,000/-
