The ATM industry is getting up there in years, but it shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to innovative software features. A webinar hosted by ATM Marketplaceand sponsored by KAL examined some of the key findings of the 17th annual 2024/2025 ATM and Self-Service Software Trends Report.

Bradley Cooper moderated with the discussion with presenter Marylin Bell, head of marketing at KAL, and panelists Nathan Wald, VP of Global ATM product team, Brinks, Matt Snow, head of cash and ATM operations at Regions Bank, Whit Coolbaugh, SVP of ATM and ITM strategy and operations, SECU and Steve Hensley, global EVP of sales and marketing at KAL.

The report gathered insights from a survey sent to bankers, independent ATM deployers, financial technology service providers, ATM hardware vendors and other areas, with 46% of responses coming from North America, 22% from Europe, 18% from Asia, 5% from South America, 6% from Africa and 3% from Australia.

During the webinar, the panelists went over key data points and topics such as:

  • Only 12% of banks are relying less on ATMs.
  • Supporting better self-service transactions is the biggest priority for banks.
  • ATM-as-a-service.
  • ATM outsourcing.
  • AI trends.
  • Delivering consistent digital experience across banking channels.
