About the Opportunity
The Keshav Desiraju India Mental Health Observatory (IMHO) at CMHLP, ILS, Pune is looking for Research Associates to support evidence-based mental health policy reform in India.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct research by collecting, collating, and analysing existing data, metrics and information on the mental health system in India
- Develop and disseminate research outputs and publications (annual reports, briefs, newsletters, white papers, etc.)
- Develop and maintain the IMHO website and data platforms
- Develop linkages and coordinate with civil society organisations, policymakers and other stakeholders as part of IMHO’s institutional mechanism for collaborative research
- Organize consultations and dissemination events
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Health, Public Policy or allied disciplines.
- At least 2 years’ work experience in the fields of mental health, public health, law and policy reform, social justice, and other allied fields.
- Strong research skills both in qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Proficiency in written English – academic and policy writing.
Desirable Qualifications
- Prior experience in communication, advocacy, and network building
- Proficiency in Hindi (spoken and written)
