Euronet to acquire ATM assets from Swedbank

Euronet, a fintech solutions and payments provider, will acquire Swedbank’s ATM assets and outsourcing services for Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. As part of the agreement, Euronet will migrate the ATMs to its Ren payments processing platform, according to a press release.

Swedbank has 1,141 ATMs in total and the migration will begin in Fall 2025. Euronet will aim to deliver a more personalized user experience while maintaining Swedbank’s branding.

“We are pleased with this agreement with Swedbank in the Baltics region, and we are committed to providing the highest standards of service to the bank and its customers,” Marek Szafirski, managing director financial institutions solutions and technology, Euronet EFT division, said in the release. “Our long-standing experience in bank ATM assets purchasing and ATM outsourcing services delivers real value, and we are excited to experience the appreciation of these services by our partners.”

The ATMs will be integrated into Euronet’s independent ATM network in the Baltic countries.
