Potomac Bankshares Inc. the parent company of Bank of Charles Town, appointed Shane Bell as EVP and CFO. He takes over for Dean Cognetti who is retiring, according to a press release.
In this role, Bell will handle financial planning and accountability for the bank’s capital and enterprise risk management. He has worked for more than 22 years in banking in a number of roles.
“Throughout his career, Shane has established deep relationships with teammates, clients, and the community to deliver responsible financial oversight and guidance,” Alice P. Frazier, president and CEO of BCT, said in the release. “Shane is well positioned to build on Dean’s legacy and lead us to further success in current and future markets as we develop the full breadth of BCT’s capabilities, ultimately improving our clients’ financial lives while strengthening BCT’s bottom line.”
